Zero tolerance.
Thurgood prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation, child sexual
abuse material, grooming, sexual solicitation of minors, trafficking,
coercion, and conduct that endangers a child.
1. Our commitment
Thurgood Industries, Inc. is committed to providing a safe environment
for all users, with particular care for experiences that may be viewed
or used by minors.
We design safety practices around prevention, appropriate access,
moderation, reporting, investigation, escalation, and cooperation
with lawful child-protection processes.
2. Career Discovery and minors
Public Career Discovery can be used to explore careers, capabilities,
evidence, training pathways, and participating programs without creating
an account.
Public discovery experiences should not require a child to disclose
personal contact information simply to explore career content.
Where authenticated student experiences are made available through a
school, training organization, parent or guardian, or another authorized
relationship, additional access controls and privacy requirements apply.
3. Prohibited conduct
The following conduct is prohibited:
- Uploading, requesting, sharing, distributing, or possessing child sexual abuse material through Thurgood.
- Grooming, sexualizing, soliciting, coercing, manipulating, or exploiting a minor.
- Attempting to move a minor into inappropriate private communication or in-person contact.
- Threatening, stalking, harassing, bullying, trafficking, or otherwise endangering a child.
- Using Thurgood to promote, normalize, trivialize, or facilitate child sexual exploitation or abuse.
- Misrepresenting identity, age, affiliation, or authority in order to gain inappropriate access to a minor.
4. Photos, video, evidence, and portfolio content
Thurgood may allow users to submit photos, video, project evidence,
and other media. Users must have the right to submit the material and
must not upload exploitative, sexual, abusive, or unlawfully obtained
content involving minors.
Schools, training organizations, employers, and other authorized users
should apply appropriate supervision and consent practices when creating,
requesting, or reviewing content involving minors.
5. Communication and professional boundaries
Adults who interact with minors through Thurgood must maintain
appropriate professional boundaries. Platform communication may not
be used to pursue romantic, sexual, exploitative, coercive, or otherwise
inappropriate relationships with minors.
6. Moderation and safety controls
Thurgood may use automated systems, human review, user reports,
access controls, account restrictions, media-review processes,
and other safeguards to detect and respond to harmful activity.
We may preserve content or account information where reasonably
necessary for safety review, legal compliance, or reporting obligations.
7. Report a child-safety concern
If you see content or conduct that may endanger a child, report it immediately.
Do not redistribute suspected illegal material in an attempt to document it.
8. How Thurgood may respond
Depending on the circumstances, Thurgood may remove content,
limit messaging, suspend access, terminate accounts, preserve records,
restrict organizations or users, and report conduct to law enforcement
or appropriate child-protection authorities.
Confirmed or apparent child sexual abuse material will be handled in
accordance with applicable reporting obligations.
9. Legal compliance
Thurgood seeks to comply with applicable child-protection,
privacy, safety, and reporting requirements, including requirements
that may apply under COPPA, federal child-protection law, state law,
platform child-safety standards, and mandatory reporting regimes.
Where required, reports may be made to the National Center for Missing
& Exploited Children (NCMEC), law enforcement, or other appropriate authorities.
